Every year, CERA Journal in association with the General Conference
Chair and the Program Chair release a special issue of the Journal
dedicated to a current CE Conference (www.ceconf.com).
The papers are nominated based on multiple criteria:

Recommendations from the Program/Session Chairs
-
Results of the evaluations from the Conference presentations
-
Recommendations received from the Conference attendees.

Screening done by Our Board of Editors
-
Recommendations received through Emails from the readers of
Conference Proceedings
The Managing Editor invites a Guest editor(s) to oversee this
special Issue & this review process. The Guest Editor(s) of the
special issue invites 14-16 best paper out of 100 or more presented
for possible consideration in a special issue of CERA Journal.
Guest Editors inform the authors of the selected papers. The
information includes:

Recommended Modifications and changes:
-
Timing: When they can submit a revised paper
-
Number of pages: 20-25 pages long (double-spaced) including
Figures and
-
Author biographies and Photos?
The paper undergoes several rounds of independent reviews of its
own. Top papers out of the best 14-16 (invited from the Conference
Proceedings) or so are tentatively selected for the second round of
evaluation. Later, based on the tallied results of Reviews, 7-8 best
papers are then selected for the special issue of CERA Journal.
CERA Journal requires an extended version of the original
paper (25 pages, approximately 5500 words, including figures
(both Printed Copy and a Computer disks) with Authors' biographies
& photographs. The paper must comply with the "Guidelines for
the Authors", which can be found on http://www.ceraj.com/
The paper is re-reviewed for Journal Publications. Both printed
copy & a Microsoft WORD file of the extended paper are submitted
to the Guest Editors for reviews. Guidelines are also printed on the
inside back-cover of the CERA Journal.
This special Conference issue is put together comprising of the
papers presented and published in the "Advances of
Concurrent Engineering – CE20XX" Proceedings of a
current year CE Conferences. For example Special Conference issue of
CERA Journal in year 2002 will be based on the papers presented at the
8th ISPE International Concurrent Engineering Conference – CE2001 --
held in Anaheim, CA, USA on July 28-August 1, 2001. See Web Page for
