Why
Write for CERA Journal?
|
If you are doing research in, teaching, consulting in
Concurrent Engineering or related fields, or if you are
engaged in product development, and you are looking for a long
term reference value and a refereed source for your
publication needs, consider CERA. We are the only refereed
Journal that is devoted to the Concurrent Engineering field .
In 1997, we ranked in top 5 of all ISI abstracted Journals
(26) in Engineering/Manufacturing fields. We would like CERA
Journal to be your first choice for your refereed publication
needs.
CETeam International only publishes one International
Journal - four quarterly issues per year. We are not a
large publication house nor are we a profit-making center or
organization. We are a non-profit organization and our charter
is to promote the interests of the world community in
Concurrent Engineering and associated fields. We only deal
with one field that is Concurrent Engineering, we pay full
attention and do it extremely well.
Three distinguished (expert) reviewers review each
submitted paper. If two of our reviewers do not recommend the
paper for publication within the CERA Journal, the paper is
returned and rejected. In the sprit of CE, our editorial
(review) process works concurrently. Our
submission-to-publication time is often very short. For
publication in CERA Journal, most submitted papers take
anywhere from 3 months to 6 months. If our review process
takes more than 6 months, it is often due to authors’ delay
in returning the revised manuscripts or due to authors not
complying with reviewers’ requirements/instructions. If the
paper is not suitable for CERA Journal, or it does not meet
our quality thresholds, it is promptly returned to authors.
We cooperate with all possible International Organizations
and communities dealing in CE and any of its related fields.
We believe that original equipment manufactures (OEMs) and
extended supply chains should apply Concurrent Engineering
research for Product development and manufacturing.
Manufacturing organizations must leverage CE concepts during
their life-cycle management of products. Managers must
practice the arts of CE while carrying out their project
works. This means that we actively encourage applied research,
case description and qualitative discussion and analysis as
well as quantitatively based papers.
We believe in the value of authors from a wide range of
nationalities, cultures and contexts. Although we only
currently publish in the English language, we encourage
contributions from around the world. We encourage papers on
industrial, management and manufacturing-related issues from
other disciplines; professions, industries and so on.
We disseminate our titles through a range of electronic
media including online web access (as well as traditional
print format), which gives very wide dissemination into
universities and businesses worldwide.
Whatever your field of research and/or practice, we would
be pleased to hear from you. Please correspond directly with
our distinguished editors and associate editors (you can find
details on our journal home pages). Please also feel free to
come and visit our web site www.ceraj.com
frequently, review our new issues, browse our Journal’s
Table of Contents or write to me with any questions or issues
you may have.
Sincerely,
Biren Prasad, Ph.D.,
